Shannon Smith
Shannon, Strategic Development Manager, was most recently Associate Director of Sales and Marketing at New York based Intercom Online, a provider of broadband services specializing in DSL (digital subscriber lines). There, he helped develop the sales program, worked with advertisers and developed industry relationships for Intercom's DSL deployment in the New York marketplace. Also during his time at Intercom, Shannon was a researcher for Columbia's Institute of Tele-Information at Columbia University. Shannon also worked at Suretrade, an online brokerage, where he was part of the team that launched the company, and helped facilitate customer growth that exceeded 100,000 accounts in less than a year. He received a B.A. in Economics from SUNY Albany and will be receiving his M.A. in Economics from New York University this fall.
